The Shubukai association was founded by the master Kanbun Uechi in the 1933 and Master Satoru Shinki supported the spirit in the Kansai zone (Osaka and its surroundings).
The objective of this Association it's to preserve and investigate the old techniques with Chinese origin, just like the founder Kanbun Uechi Sensei was teaching it.
The master Satoru Shinki was born in 1927 in the Goto islands, province of Nagasaki. Since his childhood he was practicing martial arts. He was disciple of the master Kan-ei Uechi and the master Chojiro Tani.
The master Shinki was the big expert of all matters of styles, he was the living encyclopedia of Karate. As a member of the Japanese Federation of Karate, he collaborated to establish the sports regulation of Kumite that turned later into the world standard, the system W.U.K.O. During this decades he was the President of Nishijitsugyodan Federation (groups of Japanese company's karate clubs) influencing in the traditional and sports world.
He retired with the position of Superintendent of the Hyogo police, as a good policeman, he was dominating Judo and Kendo too with skill. He had the qualifications of osteopath but he didn't exercised.

Shubukai Association investigates information of all styles of Karate and all the Chinese martial arts too covering a lot of areas, like sociology, history, natural sciences, anthropology, medicine and all necessary for the investigation.
The master Shinki used to say << don't trust in what the others say, if you are interested to know the truth, investigate it and confirm it, it's the only way to know the truth. >>
