BASIC KANSHIWA BUNKAI
Officially there exists two Bunkai (analyses of application) for the degrees
exam, one is elementary (for Kyu) and the other is advanced (for Dan).
Logically all the Katas have a Bunkai, but the real application will be understood only by the original Katas and not by the simplified versions.
The Tsuki is caught and counter-attacks with the Daiken. This sequence is
the unique Daiken's combination that exists in Uechi-Ryu. The MAWASHI-UKE
has to be practiced not only as a defense but applying the claw of tiger
later to seize and control the movement of the adversary. It has to understand
the importance of the corporal turn to diminish the force of the impact.
